Swarming the Globe

One Piece at a time at the cadillac festival of the arts

Every year, I make it a point to visit the Cadillac Festival of the Arts—specifically the Art Fair portion—which takes place on the third Friday in July and runs through Saturday.

I’m not artistically inclined in the least, but I do consider myself an appreciator of the arts, so I enjoy roaming the booths in search of something that calls to me. My daughter Macey often joins me and helps me select a treasure to bring home.

This Year’s Dilemma: Too Many Treasures!

This year, I was faced with a dilemma: there were too many items calling to me. With approximately 70 vendors, it’s no surprise that there were plenty of great pieces to choose from.

I know what you’re thinking:

Sarah, you are a delight. You deserve to treat yourself. It is your birth month, after all.

I was thinking the same thing!

I quickly snapped some photos and sent them off to Macey, who was working at the Art Fair for the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau. With her nod of approval, I went in search of my favorite booths and scooped up everything that caught my fancy.
