The Cadillac Wexford Public Library is doing some great programming and I have been able to participate in a few of their programs. The first event I attended, you may remember, was Collage Night. I loved it, and still display my collage creation proudly on my mantle.
The next program that I tried out was Bad Art Night. The point of which was to not create something awful but to create without the pressure of making something beautiful. It was tons of fun as well!

Most recently I attended the library’s Adult Craft Night. It was a packed house with organizers pulling tables and chairs from storage! Participants made bottle cap flower art. It was quick and easy a perfect after-work-craft for non-crafty crafters like myself. The most difficult part of the night was folding the bottle caps in half.

Macey was sad she missed this fun craft night but I can’t feel bad for her….. because SHE’S IN SPAIN! Plus I’m pretty sure we can do some family bottle cap crafts when she comes home in the spring. Hopefully Molly will join us.
I’m looking forward to all of the library’s “spooky”-themed events this month. I’m definitely going to the Spooky Thrifted Art event on October 17th! Did I mention that these crafty nights are free to the participants? They are funded by the county library millage!
I even have my eye on some of the events planned for the week of October 27th: Vampire Party at Chunky Beat Coffee Roasters, and the Downtown Garlic Delights (the whole week).
