Today is Halloween, and even though I teach high school students, they still get a kick out of dressing up…and seeing their teachers dress up. I’m not the type of person that really enjoys dressing up, but my coworker, and store manager, is. After 22 Halloweens together, we have reached an agreement. She asks me what I’m willing to dress up as, and we go with that lol! I usually try to pick a costume that has SOMETHING To do with marketing or business in general. This year, I selected Emily in Paris.
For those of you not in-the-know, Emily in Paris is a series on Netflix. It’s about a young American marketing executive who goes to work in Paris at a French marketing firm. This is the perfect costume for marketing teachers everywhere! Buy yourself a black and white striped shirt (think mime), red beret (raspberry beret….gosh I love that song!), long skirt, and cute shoes. Add some red lipstick and if you’re grey like me, a brunette wig and you will look just like Emily!

Anyway, dressing up like Emily today got me thinking about how I still haven’t traveled to Paris. It is at the top of my travel bucket list. The number one thing that I want to do when I get there? Sit at a cafe outside, drink wine, and eat some bread and cheese. That’s it. I mean, I traveled all that way, I’ll probably do other things too, but my top priority is that cafe, bread, wine, and cheese.
I haven’t been to Greece either, which is also on the travel bucket list. I haven’t been to washington state or D.C. either. I hAVE been to Hamilton, Ontario.
