This week’s post is a bit late. I had a house full of people, which was great but….. resulted in the worst migraine I’ve had since I started my daily Qulipta regimen a year ago.
If you suffer from migraines, you know this situation. Everything is fine, and then you smell something, or hear something, or see something that suddenly triggers stabbing pain on one side of your head. My migraines are usually triggered by a diet of too much sugar, weather changes, dehydration, not enough caffeine, stress, sound, and/or smell. The pain is terrible, and the nausea that accompanies makes it 10x worse.

My point is, that instead of writing a blog about Memorial Day 5ks, crafts, meal prep, and my new shoes. Instead, I’m writing about migraine remedies and prevention. Bummer.

What are your go-to ways to prevent migraines?
When you get a migraine, what do you do to “deal” with them?
I use an ice mask and hunker down under my weighted blanket when I get a migraine. To prevent, I use a heated mask with a roll-on essential oils, schedule restorative time (although I was not very good at this last week, obviously), and a silk pillow case. I should eat better. I should reduce my stress.
